An Income Now Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a special form of a federally insured Certificate of Deposit (CD), used to manage retirement funds, that provides regular monthly payments to the beneficiary/recipient for a fixed period of time, consisting of principal and interest.  It is not an insurance product.  Any member looking for an investment that offers a regular monthly income for a fixed period of time.  Most commonly, a person nearing retirement, or already retired, looking for regular monthly payments to supplement their retirement income would benefit from the Income Now CD.
