We're Looking Out For You

It seems like every time you check the news, a scammer has walked off with someone else’s identity, racked up thousands of dollars in debt, and left his or her credit report in shambles. At Alliance, we’re looking out for you, and we’ve got three terrific tools you can use to protect yourself and your assets.

Online Bill Pay

Experts have shown that replacing paper checks and mailing bills with an online bill pay service can dramatically reduce the chances of identity theft. It’s as simple as removing the opportunity for a thief to lift your payments (including account numbers and paper checks) right out of your mailbox. Alliance Credit Union’s Online Bill Pay service is speedy, easy to use and secure! This service is FREE for all members with Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction, a loan in good standing, a combined minimum deposit balance of $500 or a Premier or Daily Cash Fund Checking account. For all others, it is only $4.95 per month. Click here for more Information.

AlertMe Credit Monitoring

Alliance offers AlertMe, a credit-monitoring service designed to help members fight identity theft. AlertMe gives early warning of activity on your credit report. Since credit report activity can be a sign of possible identity theft, early detection can help you catch problems quickly to minimize losses.  AlertMe monitors your Experian credit file daily and sends you prompt updates about new activity. The AlertMe cost is $4.25 month. Quarterly and annual plans are available at a reduced rate. Best of all, it provides peace of mind. Click here for more information.

Verified by VISA

Protection while you’re shopping online, Verified by VISA lets you choose a personal password ensuring that only you can use your VISA credit or debit card.  Once your card is enrolled and activated, your card number will be recognized whenever you make a purchase at participating online stores. Your password will be required to complete your purchase — and only you will know it!  Click here for more information.

Free Credit Reports

Consumers are entitled to one FREE credit report and two reports if you are an ID theft victim each year using a Web site at www.annualcreditreport.com.  The toll free number consumers can call is 877-322-8228.  Or, written requests can be sent to Annual credit Report Request Service, P.O.
